The 4th Gen is designed for 24V HVAC, the North American standard. UAE air conditioners run on 220V. To bridge the two, you need a compatible adapter (Dropair for most split units, Fujitsu UTY-TTRX for O’ General and Fujitsu systems) and a qualified installer who knows both sides of the wiring. 4th Gen vs 3rd Gen: should you upgrade?
If you already own the 3rd Gen and it works, the case is moderate. If you are buying your first smart thermostat or replacing an older one, the 4th Gen is the clear pick. You get a much bigger display, the bundled temperature sensor (which would cost extra with the 3rd Gen), Adaptive Eco, Matter, and finishes that genuinely look like jewellery on the wall instead of a screen.
